I did some ethnographic field research for Research in Professional & Critical Writing, where I joined the Southern Polytechnic State University Fencing Club. The objective was to join a subculture that you had never experienced before and record your observations and findings in the form of a feature article. I learned a lot about fencing during the short time that I was involved in the club. This was redesigned to be a two page journal spread for the purposes of showing the piece in a different format.
