Context: This was a little scene that I wrote using the idea that I had to write about people doing some sort of physical activity without explicitly saying what they were doing. Can you figure out what’s really going on?
In the twilight hours of the night, two figures sit in the shadows of the city, alone and huddled together.
“Is it in yet?”
Pamela wasn’t quite able to see what he was doing, so she wasn’t sure what she was waiting on.
“That’s rude, don’t say it like that! This kind of act takes time and commitment.”
Victor didn’t like Pamela’s tone. He was doing the best he could.
“Well, hurry up! I don’t want to get caught in this position…”
“Look, Pam, we aren’t going to get caught, no one’s even around right now. As long as we’re quiet, people won’t have a clue what we’re doing.”
“Oh… fine, I’ll be patient. Hopefully, I won’t fall asleep waiting for you.”
Pamela leaned back against the wall, getting more comfortable.
“Would you rather take it and shove it in yourself? Because I know you don’t have any skill with this tool. You do your job, I’ll do mine and we’ll both come out of this satisfied.”
“Whatever… Hmm.” Pamela sighed audibly.
Victor finally overcame her attempts to distract him and popped it open.
“There it is, it’s in now. Your turn.”
“Finally, some action! Time for me to get it on.”
Pamela bends over, stretching and preparing herself for the job ahead.
“Work what you got girl, but don’t go too fast. We have to be careful.”
“Yea, yea. You just keep a lookout and don’t get too distracted by the assets.”
Pamela winks at Victor right before she goes out of view.
